RWF Recruitment 2025 – The Rail Wheel Factory (RWF) plans to enroll 192 new apprentices for 2025 who will practice Fitter, Machinist, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Turner, CNC Programming cum Operator, Electrician, and Electronic Mechanic trades. Successful applicants require a minimum of 50% marks from the 10th grade education and must present an ITI diploma from their specific field of training. The admission qualifications for potential candidates extend from 15 to 24 years of age effective March 1, 2025 and maintain adjusted standards for specific group handles.

Candidates can start their applications through the provided process from March 1, 2025 up to April 1, 2025. The application process for RWF begins offline through a website download of the application form and its subsequent submission with appropriate documents and a ₹100 fee which is exempt for SC/ST/PwD/Women candidates via Indian Postal Order or Demand Draft.

After an application deadline period of 45 days the officials releasing the merit list of selected candidates will start training the recruits 15 days following list publication.                                                                 Qualification
The candidates willing to undergo training under the Apprentices’ Act, 1961, in this Factory, must have passed 10th class examination or its equivalent with minimum 50% (aggregate) marks, from recognized Boards, as on the date of issue of Notification and also possess National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the designated trade in which this administration is imparting training, issued by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT).

Stipend

During their period of apprenticeship training in this Factory, the candidates undergoing training in the trades of Fitter, Machinist, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Turner, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic will be paid a stipend of Rs.12,261/- per month, while for CNC Programming-cum-Operator, a stipend of Rs.10,899/- per month, will be paid as per extant rules amended from time to time.

 

Mode of Selection

For the purpose of calculation of percentage of marks obtained in 10th Std/Matriculation or its equivalent marks obtained by the candidates in all the subjects as indicated in the said marks sheet, will be reckoned and not on the basis of marks of any subject or a group of subjects.
The selection of candidates will be made on the basis of merit list prepared based on the percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in 10* Std/Matriculation or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.

 

How to Apply

Application duly filled-in all respects can either be dropped in the sealed Drop Box kept in the Office of the Principal Chief Personnel Officer, Personnel Department, Rail Wheel Factory, Yelahanka, Bangalore-560064 on all the working days i.e, from Monday to Friday between 09:00 hrs to 16:50 hrs. and Saturday between 09:00 hrs. to 12:20 hrs.
or sent by REGISTERED POST only to the below mentioned address duly superscribing on the cover as “Application for undergoing training under the Apprentices’ Act, 1961 for the year 2024-25 in Rail Wheel Factory” with the enclosures in Annexures.
Candidates are required to read the instructions indicated in the Notification thoroughly before submitting their applications.
Applications should be submitted to this office before 17:00 hrs. of the closing date i.e., 01.04.2025 addressing to, The Assistant Personnel Officer-II, Personnel Department, Rail Wheel Factory, Yelahanka, Bangalore -560 064.
Application Format as per and all other can be downloaded from the official website of Rail Wheel Factory https://rwf.indianrailways.gov.in/ No other format of applications, other than the one enclosed to this Notification, shall be entertained.
Candidates should note and take cognizance of the fact that this is a Notification for engagement of Act Apprentices under the Apprentices’ Act, 1961, for this Factory and Rail Wheel Factory Administration is the nodal agency for processing of applications from candidates and preparation of their merit list.
Candidates should ensure that their Name, Father’s/Mother’s name/Guardian’s name, their Date of Birth, in the application forms submitted by them should exactly match as recorded in their Matriculation or equivalent certificates and other certificates including Aadhaar certificates submitted by them.
Any deviation found during document verification will lead to cancellation of their candidature and also their debarment from undergoing training in this Factory.
An Ex-servicemen candidate selected under the reservation provided for him/her will be placed in the appropriate category viz., UR/SC/ST/OBC to which he/she belongs.
In case of children of Ex-servicemen, they must produce discharge certificate of his/her parents at the time of document verification.
A recent colour pass port size photograph should be affixed on the application form duly signed/attested by the candidate.

 

Important Instruction

Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidature and no correspondence will be entertained in the matter. The list of selected candidates will be displayed at https://rwf.indianrailways.gov.in/.
The decision of the Railway administration in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of the applications and mode of selection shall be final.
Candidates may also visit the same website for further updates regarding eligibility/ineligibility etc., that will be notified from time to time.
The entire process of engagement functions impartially, without fear or fervor. There is no scope for influence or discretion.
Hence, the rejected candidates will not be given any explanation nor any intimation.
The short listed candidates will be informed about their selection through ordinary post and results will be exhibited on the Notice Board as well as Rail Wheel Factory’s website.
